Questions and answers

Short answers about selling and buying on Morrow.

For artists

Do I need to be a “real artist” first?

No. You don’t need a gallery, a degree or a following. If your profile is complete and your email is verified, you are approved automatically.

What does it cost?

Nothing to apply or list. Morrow keeps 20% of the price when a work sells. Founding artists pay 12% for their first 12 months, and repeat sales between the same artist and buyer cost 10%.

What can I charge?

Any price from EGP 300 to EGP 100,000. Prices that look unusual for the size get a short review.

How do I get paid?

To your mobile wallet, automatically, after the buyer confirms receipt, or 14 days after delivery if no return or problem is reported. The wait is there because Egyptian consumer law lets buyers return a distance purchase within 14 days.

Who pays for delivery?

The buyer pays the delivery fee on top of your price. It is never taken from what you earn.

Who delivers the work?

Morrow books a courier to collect it from your pickup address. Pack it carefully. You never need to share your phone with the buyer.

What can I sell?

Original physical work: one-of-one pieces, numbered limited editions, and printed photographs. No digital files.

Can I share my Morrow page?

Yes, please do. It is the best way to bring your own audience to your work.

For buyers

Is it safe to pay?

You pay Morrow, not the artist. The artist is paid only after the work reaches you.

Can I return it?

Yes. Within 14 days of delivery you can return a work for any reason, if it is in the condition you received it. Report it in your orders. The payout is paused, Morrow arranges the pickup, and you are refunded the price and the delivery fee. The same goes if it arrives damaged or not as described.

How much is delivery?

It is not included in the price. The delivery fee is added at checkout and shown before you pay. You get a tracking number once the courier is booked.

How long is a work held for me?

24 hours from reserving it, to give you time to pay. After that it becomes available to others.

Can I contact the artist?

Contact details stay private on both sides. If you have a question about a work, write to us and we will ask the artist.

Does the work come with a certificate?

Yes. Every approved work has a certificate of originality with a number and a QR code. Open it from the artwork page, or from your orders after you buy. It records what the artist declares. Morrow does not authenticate it.

Is the artwork authenticated?

Artists declare the origin of each work. Morrow checks the listing but does not appraise or authenticate it.
