Where light begins

القصة وراء العمل

This abstract painting explores the emotional tension between illumination and obscurity, using color as a language of transformation. A luminous field of white and yellow emerges against deep crimson, violet, and blue, creating a visual dialogue between hope and uncertainty. Inspired by the unpredictable nature of human emotions, the work embraces spontaneous gestures, layered textures, and expressive mark-making to capture fleeting psychological states rather than literal forms. The narrative unfolds as a passage from chaos toward clarity. The bright central opening suggests a moment of revelation, while the darker surrounding masses embody memory, conflict, and the weight of lived experience. Rather than presenting a fixed story, the painting invites viewers to project their own emotions and interpretations, transforming the canvas into a personal landscape where struggle and resilience coexist, and where light is discovered not in the absence of darkness, but through it.
